Welcome: why so many sites look the same
Video · 10 min · Free preview
Open ten new startup sites or freelancer portfolios and you will notice something. Purple-to-blue gradient. A centered headline that says nothing, like "Transform the way you work". Three cards with icons in rounded squares. A glowing button. Some floating 3D shapes. You could swap the logos and nobody would notice.
That look happens when a page is generated from a prompt or a template and nobody makes real decisions afterwards. It is not that AI tools are bad. It is that the defaults are the same for everyone, so everything starts to look alike.
Why it matters for you
Clients and hiring managers have seen this look many times. When your landing page or app looks generated, people assume the thinking behind it is generic too. A clean, specific design says the opposite: someone cared about this.
What this course is
- Week 1: learn to spot the AI tells, then audit your own work.
- Week 2: foundations: type, spacing, color, contrast and alignment.
- Week 3: real content and components: copy, screenshots, cards, forms, buttons, mobile layouts and design tokens.
- Week 4: redesign one of your own projects step by step, with feedback.
What it is not
This is not a course in making things fancy. Most of the fixes are about removing things: fewer colors, fewer effects, fewer vague words. You do not need to be an artist. You need a checklist, a few rules and practice seeing.
We cannot promise clients, a job or income from this. We can help you build one strong before-and-after piece and an eye that stays with you. Next, pick the project you will work on.
